    Terms of Service

    The agreement between you and SlideCraft Pro

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using the SlideCraft Pro platform (the "Service"), available at slidecraftpro.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

    These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SlideCraft Pro ("we," "us," or "our"). You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

    2. Description of Service

    SlideCraft Pro is an AI-powered medical lecture slide generator. The Service allows healthcare educators, medical students, and professionals to create presentation slides from text prompts using Google Gemini AI technology.

    Key capabilities of the Service include:

    • Generating structured presentation slides from natural-language prompts
    • Suggesting layouts, imagery, and content organization for medical topics
    • Exporting presentations in standard formats (PPTX, PDF)
    • Storing and managing presentations within your account

    Important: The Service is an educational productivity tool. It does NOT provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. All AI-generated content is for educational reference only and must be independently verified by qualified professionals before use in any clinical or academic setting.

    3. Account Registration

    To access the Service, you must create an account through our authentication system powered by Supabase. When registering, you agree to:

    • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
    • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
    • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
    • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
    • Notify us immediately at support@slidecraftpro.app if you suspect unauthorized access

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading registration information.

    4. Subscription and Payments

    SlideCraft Pro offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

    • Billing Cycles: Paid plans are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year at a discounted rate.
    • Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
    • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that date.
    • Refunds: If you cancel within the first 14 days of a new subscription or renewal, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your billing period. Refund requests should be sent to support@slidecraftpro.app.
    • Price Changes: We may adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days' prior notice. Price changes apply at your next renewal date.

    5. AI-Generated Content

    The Service uses Google Gemini AI to generate slide content, including text, structure suggestions, and layout recommendations. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

    • AI-generated content is provided for educational and reference purposes only
    • AI-generated content has NOT been peer-reviewed and should not be treated as authoritative medical guidance
    • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating all AI-generated content before using it in lectures, presentations, publications, or any other context
    • No clinical decisions should be made based solely on AI-generated content from this Service
    • AI models may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information, including incorrect drug dosages, contraindications, or treatment protocols
    • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated content

    You agree to indemnify and hold SlideCraft Pro harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content.

    6. Intellectual Property

    Your Content: You retain full ownership of the presentations, text, images, and other materials you create using the Service. SlideCraft Pro does not claim any ownership rights over your content.

    Limited License: By using the Service, you grant SlideCraft Pro a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

    Platform IP: The SlideCraft Pro platform, including its software, design, branding, templates, UI components, and proprietary algorithms, is and remains the exclusive property of SlideCraft Pro. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as described herein.

    7. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the Service to:

    • Create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
    • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data or content from the Service without prior written consent
    • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service or its underlying algorithms
    • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
    • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
    • Use the Service to generate fraudulent medical credentials, certifications, or misleading clinical documentation
    • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without authorization

    We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination, against anyone who violates these provisions.

    8. Data Storage

    Your account data, presentations, and associated content are stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit.

    While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

    9. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SLIDECRAFT PRO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

    IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

    Without limiting the foregoing, SlideCraft Pro expressly disclaims any liability for:

    • Clinical decisions, patient outcomes, or medical actions taken based on AI-generated content from the Service
    • Inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in AI-generated slides, including incorrect medical information, drug dosages, or treatment protocols
    • Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or data
    • Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss beyond our reasonable control

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    10. Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

    • Violation of these Terms or any applicable laws or regulations
    • Conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service
    • Extended periods of account inactivity
    • Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

    Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination by contacting support@slidecraftpro.app. After that period, your data may be permanently deleted.

    11. Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes:

    • We will provide at least 30 days' notice before the changes take effect
    • Notice will be delivered via email to the address associated with your account
    • The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date

    Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.

    12. Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
